Who We Are

Mountain Lynx Transit provides weekly public transportation for residents and visitors of Carroll County. Vans travel a fixed route with deviations possible. Call or visit the website for schedule information to learn what day of the week your area is served.

Customers are picked up at or near their homes in the county. The bus then goes to a designated commercial center where customers are taken to a destination of their choice. Multiple destinations may be accommodated depending upon the needs of all the passengers within the time allotted. In-town customers are welcome to board any county route while it is in town but must pay a separate 50¢ fare for each boarding. Destinations and stops on county routes are determined by the driver for the convenience of the county riders only.

Intake Process
Call the reservation line by 4:00 pm on the last business day before the trip. Provide the customer's name, telephone number, the exact address of the pick-up point, and destination. Request assistance is needed beyond standard curb-to-curb service. Customers will be given a pick-up time with a 30-minute window. Please be ready and waiting. The bus may arrive 15 minutes prior to or after the pick-up time. The bus driver cannot wait longer than five (5) minutes.
